Dayna King
Physical Therapist - Clinical Educator - Career Coach
I am a physical therapist and educator.
My job is to recognize potential in people,
and to inspire and empower them to achieve it.
Dayna King, PT, DPT
As a native New Yorker born and raised in Queens, my early summers were spent upstate
as a camper-turned-counselor at a sleep away camp. In that experience, I first learned to care for others.

Coming from a career-oriented family, I sought a future that involved helping people.
As a high school senior, I was accepted into a 6-year entry-level program at Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
This required intensive study beginning as a freshman, included experiential learning in the field during cooperative
education (co-op) and yielded two degrees: a Bachelor's in Rehabilitation Science and a clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Staying on track as a student-athlete and traveling for co-ops and clinicals rounded out my college experience.

My professional career began on inpatient units and later broadened to include outpatient and
home services as interest in following my patients to later phases of recovery grew. Becoming a certified clinical
instructor allowed me to expand my role as an educator not only to patients, but to students as well.

My expertise lies in breaking down tasks into fundamental components to make it easier to learn,
whether it's for a patient learning how to move better or for a student learning how to apply practical knowledge.
